High School Guidance Secretary


 

Training for the position will take place from June 16th - 23rd. The contractual start date is August 1st.Cohasset High School seeks an energetic team player to join the guidance office staff. The ideal candidate has superior phone etiquette, confidentiality, organizational skills, and is interested in being a part of a supportive school environment. The applicant must be comfortable working within Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Google apps as well as student database management.

This is a 48 week per year position.Key responsibilities are as follows: College Admissions Applications; Assist counselors in transmitting essential school documents to colleges and universities on a timely basis. Track application and admissions data, and keep student account information up to date. Student Enrollment; Create and maintain accurate enrollment information in ASPEN for new enrollments as well as withdrawals throughout the year. Manage student scholarships; Includes gather and disseminating scholarship information to students and parents; collect completed scholarship applications and distribute them accordingly.

Organize Class Night for scholarships including time management of auditorium, manage program of complete scholarships and student recipients. Support the coordination of AP exams. ASPEN or equivalent student database required;Knowledge of NAVIANCE required;College Board knowledge a plusOther duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Answering the guidance office phone lines -Maintaining student records/filing -Communicating with parents as needed regarding student(s) -Preparing correspondence, meeting notes, and records as requested -Processing purchase orders and requisitions for department -Providing clerical support for high school guidance counselors -Other duties as assigned -Back up to main office traffic flow/greeting parents and students
