Bot Training Chapter Lead [Greece]


 

Role purpose:

The BOT Training Chapter Lead is the Product Owner of Skills Development, who builds expertise in the chapter and develops chapter members. Enthusiastic about transferring knowledge to others, chapter leads provide coaching and oversee personal development. In addition to leading a chapter community, the Chapter Lead is also a member of a Squad, completing Squad work at 30% of their time, thus will work closely with software, QA, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and create the appropriate solution designs. The Chapter Lead does not direct squad work – this comes from the Product Owner and the Squad Product Backlog.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • As a Squad Member (30%):
o Author & design digital conversational flows and journey maps involving Chat/Voice.

o Develop and mantain Natural Understanding Models for optimal intent recognition.
o Contribute to build and test conversational UI design, re-usable assets and solutions
o Define process specifications, technical requirements and cooperate with development teams through development cycle and pre-launch required testing
o Work very closely with other product owners, stakeholders and technology spokes to assess new use cases, scenarios and prioritize strategic opportunities in an agile development environment.
  • As a Leader (70%):
o Guide a community of Experts that are working within squads / scrums.
o Work with the Tribe and Tech Lead to provide workforce plans for recruitment and development.
o Organize interactions between the members of the chapter to nurture best practice and encourage knowledge & tool sharing.
o Act as a supporting leader, rather than a line manager, aiming at maturing the organisation readiness, vs controlling the work.
o Provide guidance and harmonization of chapter best-practices (Chapter principles).
o Act as a mentor for Expert members of the chapter, helping them grow in expertise and experience new areas.
o Play a pivotal role in inspiring and motivating everyone in the chapter to be the best they can be.

  • Recognised as expert in the Dialog Design and/or NLU Development domain with a proven track record.

  • Advanced ability to analyse and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop solutions.
  • Strong problem solving and design thinking skills, and ability to produce out-of-the-box ideas and innovative solutions.
  • Strong relationship building, persuasion, and collaboration skills, acting as enabler for coordination of activities between technical teams and building of cross-functional relationships quickly and confidently.
  • Agility and willingness to track, assess, and incorporate practice and technology developments into day-to-day working.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Experience in Coaching/ Mentoring others for at least 2-3 years.
  • Ability to evaluate, lead and adapt to change, shifting demands in different situations.
  • Capable of applying a range of techniques to support facilitation, training and teaching to guide and manage a group event to ensure that objectives are met effectively.
  • 1-3 years of experience in chatbot/voicebot development
  • Extensive exposure to NLU development and evaluation platforms (LUIS,RASA,QBox)
  • Experience in Dialog Design Tools and Principles (IBM Watson, MS Composer)
