The position
As our new Project Manager, you will be part of the IFP Technology Innovation team working for the Future Aseptic Production Formulation Equipment program. The program aims at developing new formulation equipment to enable the production of our future products with increased efficiency and automation. You will be part of a program, which means that you will work together with both other project managers and our overarching program manager, who can offer you support and guidance.
A project example you could be working on is designing a new tank for dissolving our products, using both computational fluid dynamic simulation (CFD), hands-on tests, biophysical product knowledge, and mechanical design.
As our new Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Facilitating progress in the project, and reporting to the management
- Prioritisation of activities and setting direction
- Managing timelines, deliverables, and resources; structuring work packages, and guiding project team members
- Ensuring documentation and validation of solutions
- Managing suppliers, consultants, external partners, and authorities
You will be guided in this and work together with your project team to succeed.

As your projects will be cross-borders, some travelling would be expected, this is estimated up to 10%.
Qualifications
To be successful in the job, we imagine that you:
- Hold an academic degree within engineering, pharmaceutical science, economics or similar.
- Have experience either related to formulation or mechanical design (e.g., within Computational Fluid Dynamics, equipment design, or similar areas)
- Have working experience as a Project Manager or hands-on experience leading projects.
- Have a basic understanding or interest in equipment
- Have good communication skills, including the ability to target your communication at a broad set of stakeholders at all organisational levels.
As a person, you do not shy away from a challenge, and from proactively involving various stakeholders. You are not afraid of asking “Why?” or saying “I don’t understand this”. You can motivate team members, foster a collaborative work environment, and resolve conflicts effectively. You have a flexible mindset, can adapt to changing project requirements, prioritize tasks, and embrace new tools and techniques.
About the department
Our department, IFP Technology Innovation, is responsible for technology development and implementation that will ensure that our brand-new IFP aseptic production sites and our existing sites use the latest technologies and processes. We play an essential role for the future of Novo Nordisk, and we are expected to be the front runners for development of new technologies, but also to set ambitious goals and deliver the needed solutions for the future aseptic production.
IFP Technology Development Projects is a department consisting of highly engaged and experienced project managers, program managers, and portfolio managers, who run global projects/programs in close collaboration with our aseptic production sites in China, Russia, France, Denmark, Brazil, and the United States.
