The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced individual to provide overall coordination and leadership of Council’s library functions to deliver outcomes for communities and people in the Bega Valley Shire in accordance with the goals of the Community Strategic Plan and Bega Valley Library Services Strategic Plan.

As the Library Services Coordinator, you will prepare program and service plans to realise opportunities of service areas as well as develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and processes. You will assist in the development, implementation, and review of Library Service Operational and Strategic Plans, ensuring integration with other BVSC functions and processes.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a minimum Degree level qualification relevant to Community Services Delivery, Community Development or Library Services and has five (5) years’ experience in library services or similar (indicative).

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated high-level understanding of library principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and organising public library services and programs.
  • Experience in project and grant management.
  • Experience in managing/overseeing volunteer programs and development.

Benefits

This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $109,200.47 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1891.90 per week base salary
  • $208.11 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
