About the Position:

The Director of Compliance will ensure that Amity Foundation complies with its external/internal regulatory and legal requirements as well as policies, procedures, and bylaws. The Director of Compliance will provide program compliance support to Los Angeles, Vista, and CTR campuses as well as serve as the lead for CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and other accreditation means.

Salary Range: $88K- $90K

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee and supervise the compliance team and work with all campus faculty on compliance needs.
  • Manage and monitor compliance and ensure that contract compliance is embedded throughout Amity programs state-wide. Create and monitor compliance tools.
  • Reviewing, creating policy procedures and compliance of IQA (Internal Quality Assurance). Translate standards and evidence of compliance into practical behaviors or practice.
  • Identify gaps in programs self-reported vs actual compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agency standards.
  • Manage the certification and recertification processes for all accreditation means.
  • Serve as the lead for the CARF Accreditation process for all Amity campuses (LA, Vista, CTR). In charge of ensuring all campuses begin CARF preparation a year in advance for certification and ensuring standards are kept up to date and current consistently throughout campuses.
  • Review CARF standards on a regular basis to identify updates and changes. Ensure faculty is aware of any changes.
  • Ensure faculty training for CARF is carried out and up to date.
  • Coordinate regular status meetings with Program Leaders and appropriate faculty to conduct ongoing assessments of survey readiness, and assist with corrective action plans, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Assisting and Educating faculty on compliance procedures. Provide guidance and interpretation of policy, procedures, and standards for provider organizations as well as peers, individuals supervised, and other departmental entities.
  • Manage CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) process with continuous implementation of quality improvement.
  • Conduct regular program meetings with the compliance team to review program needs and improvements.
  • Generate outcome measurement reports, data analysis, and other compliance reports as needed.
  • Maintain updated CARF, ADA, and all regulatory knowledge.
  • Create processes and conduct internal audits for employment programs and support. Assist with external audit preparation. Generate Audit reports and findings.
  • Travel to Amity campuses across CA and AZ to monitor and provide compliance support as needed. Attend compliance conferences as needed to stay abreast of changes and expand knowledge.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • One year of paraprofessional experience.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Service or related field.
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
  • Valid automobile liability insurance.
  • A National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy coder.
  • Experience providing services to low-income individuals in a community setting with criminal justice, homeless or at-risk populations preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and widely supported internet browsers.
  • The ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including students, community, and other staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
