Job Description:

Position: Assistant Sales


Type of hiring: Permanent

Location: Sukhumvit Road, Thepharak, Samut Prakan

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of a Sales Assistant in a water treatment company are to support the Sales Engineer in various sales-related and logistical tasks:

  • Sales Support:

    • Assist in preparing sales proposals, presentations, and quotations for potential clients.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and progress.
    • Coordinate with the Sales Engineer to follow up on leads and inquiries from potential customers.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and gather information about competitors and market trends.
  • Order Processing:

    • Process orders from clients, ensuring the accuracy of product details, quantities, and pricing.
    • Generate sales orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation for clients.
    • Liaise with various departments (production, inventory, finance) to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Shipping Arrangements & Documentation:

    • Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange shipments of products to clients.
    • Prepare shipping documentation, including packing lists, shipping labels, and customs declarations.
    • Track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and address any delays or issues that may arise.
    • Communicate with clients regarding shipping details, including tracking information and estimated delivery dates.
  • Supply Chain Follow-up:

    • Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
    • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory team to prevent stock shortages.
    • Address supply chain issues or delays and work on finding solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Client Communication:

    • Act as a point of contact for clients, providing information about products, order status, and shipping.
    • Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by offering exceptional customer service.
  • Data Management:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, client interactions, and order details in the company's CRM or database.
    • Generate regular reports on sales activities, order status, and shipping progress for management review.
  • Coordination and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the Sales Engineer to ensure a smooth flow of information and tasks.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient and effective order processing and delivery.
  • Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative assistance to the Sales Engineer, such as scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and managing correspondence.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify areas for process improvement within the sales administration and logistics functions.
    • Suggest and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Sales Assistant/Sales Support and related field.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English (Writing, Listening, Speaking and Translating).
  • Ability to travel/work in different locations. 

By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Sales Assistant contributes to the overall success of the sales team and helps maintain a positive relationship with clients through efficient order processing and effective communication.
