The Supply Chain Development team is a motivated team of Project Managers and Supply Chain Specialists who plan and carry out Projects across the Global Supply Chain for Service. We coordinate Projects and Developments related to all areas of the Supply Chain including Transformation, Business Improvement, safety, quality, and sustainability. These Projects and Developments are strategically important to improve business by developing and implementing a best-in-class Supply Chain in Vestas. As a Global function we are responsible to standardize ways of working globally and roll out new procedures to our 5 Regions.


Responsibilities

  • Driving the Footprint decision making process between all relevant Stakeholders in Global and Regional Supply Chain (Planning, Logistics, Procurement, etc.) to balance the best possible decision on warehouse locations on a global scale considering all factors
  • Facilitating the stakeholder coordination with the outcome of a go / no go decision for new or substitute locations in alignment with the long-term Global Strategy
  • Developing the criteria for a go / no go decision based on facts
  • Establishing a Governance and hearing model for new warehouse location requests from the 5 Regions as well as required documentation and processes to comply with the rules set
  • Actively creating Business Opportunities through Business Case creation by proposing new ways of working or new warehouse locations where it adds value
  • Support and challenge Line Managers to build a Business Case in ideation phase. Secure fit in overall Strategy
  • Relationship Management with your global and regional counterparts securing decisions are made in consensus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in international Logistics Solutions, Project Management, Warehouse Management or Management Consulting
  • Experience in cross-cultural interactions and international stakeholders' collaboration is highly desirable
  • Fluent English language skills at negotiation level

Additional information
The primary work location is Germany (Hamburg), but we can consider all Vestas office locations within NCE for the right candidate.
The position requires up to 20 days travel per year.
