We are a leading professional services provider placing healthcare professionals with our clients in hospitals, nursing homes, care centres and home care organisations in Ireland and the United Kingdom. We have placed thousands of healthcare professionals since the start of our company.
Currently we are in search for HCA’s from the European Union to work in County Westmeath and County Monaghan.
Job responsibilities:
- Assists residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities.
- Assists residents with mealtime and encourages residents to eat a proper diet and take adequate fluids and records and reports changes in resident’s eating habits to the supervisor.
- Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar and encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities.
- Maintains residents’ records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Assists residents with medication as defined in medication procedure, leisure activities, incidents, and observations; reports any changes in resident’s physical condition and/or behaviour.
- Observes and reports the health and emotional condition of each resident; and promptly reports all changes to the supervisor.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents.
- Knows location of each resident, reminds them to sign out when they leave the building, and notifies the supervisor immediately if unable to locate a resident.
- Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Help clients with physical therapy exercises.
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
- Record medial history and symptoms
- Monitor patient health and record signs
- Administer medications and treatments
Job requirements:
- Good English language
- An EU passport or Eu Identity Card
- Be a pleasant and friendly companion, kind, nurturing and understanding
- Previous experience is not required, but is considered a plus
- Good physical ability
- References are considered a plus
