System Analyst


 

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Work within the Digital enablement service line to support project(s) progression via

Analysis and QA skills, in conjunction with other team members as part of an Agile team

  • Work with I.S. and Business Stakeholders to understand the business architecture and the

high-level business drivers

  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business and I.S. teams
  • Translate business requirements into formal business requirements documentation and

functional specifications and/or Agile artifacts such as Epics, features, user stories etc.

  • Complete reporting using confluence and contribute to SAN workshops
  • Work with QA Analysts to support with the test strategy
  • Develop an excellent understanding of the CLE systems you work on in conjunction with

building knowledge of the CLE products these systems service

Technologies and Tools:

  • Hands on experience of using Jira and confluence for storing documentation and creating

Epics, features, User Stories and other artefacts as part of an Agile team.

  • Microsoft office suite of tools including excel, word, PowerPoint, office365
  • Flow chart and Diagramming software such as Visio, Signavio, LeanIX

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of industry best practices in relation to Business/Systems Analysis techniques

and methodologies which should be aligned with those standards set out in the BABOK

guide

  • Proven track record of translating complex requirements into comprehensive

documentation which can be understood by Business and technology team members alike.

  • Excellent organisational skills and methodical approach to delivering change in a complex

and fast paced environment

  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in Agile scrum software development lifecycles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent written and verbal English

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the Financial Services sector (in particular Life and Pensions Insurance products

and applications)

  • Experience in Business/Systems Analysis from a project perspective in a large enterprise

environment with multiple, complex data sources and technologies

  • Experience working with Scaled agile frameworks

  • The candidate needs to be a self- starter and implement best of breed Analysis techniques

and methodologies. They must be a team player

  • Passionate about Analysis work with a continuous drive for improved ways of working
  • Driven to learn new technologies and ways of working in fast paced IT environments

Necessary Qualifications / Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • 3rd level qualification (honors degree), preferably in a related discipline.
